Supplier Code of Conduct

Introduction

Desher Publishing Services is committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and ethical practices. This Supplier Code of Conduct sets forth the expectations we have for our suppliers in ensuring responsible and sustainable business practices. By engaging in business with Desher Publishing Services, suppliers agree to comply with this Supplier Code of Conduct.

  • Legal Compliance
  • Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards of India. This includes, but is not limited to, laws related to labor, health and safety, environmental protection, anti-corruption, and fair competition.

  • Labor Standards
  • Suppliers shall uphold fundamental labor rights and provide fair working conditions for their employees, including:

    2.1. Forced Labor

    Suppliers shall not engage in any form of forced, bonded, or involuntary labor.

    2.2. Child Labor

    Suppliers shall not employ individuals below the legal working age, as defined by Indian labor laws.

    2.3. Working Hours

    Suppliers shall ensure that working hours comply with applicable laws and industry standards. Overtime should be voluntary, and workers should be provided with adequate rest periods.

    2.4. Compensation

    Suppliers shall provide wages and benefits that meet or exceed the legal minimum requirements, including overtime pay and social security contributions.

    2.5. Non-Discrimination

    Suppliers shall promote equal opportunities and treat all employees fairly, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

  • Health and Safety
  • Suppliers shall maintain a safe and healthy working environment for their employees by:

    3.1. Occupational Health and Safety

    Suppliers shall comply with all relevant health and safety laws and regulations, providing a safe workplace, appropriate training, and protective equipment to employees.

    3.2. Hazardous Substances

    Suppliers shall properly handle, store, and dispose of hazardous substances in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, minimizing risks to human health and the environment

    3.3. Emergency Preparedness

    Suppliers shall establish and maintain emergency response plans to address potential accidents or incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of employees.

  • Environmental Responsibility
  • Suppliers shall actively minimize their environmental impact by:

    4.1. Compliance with Environmental Laws

    Suppliers shall comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.

    4.2. Sustainable Practices

    Suppliers are encouraged to adopt sustainable practices, such as reducing energy consumption, promoting recycling, and using environmentally friendly materials.

    4.3. Emissions and Waste Management

    Suppliers shall manage their emissions, effluents, and waste in a responsible manner, striving for continuous improvement and pollution prevention.

  • Ethical Business Practices
  • Suppliers shall conduct business with integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior by:

    5.1. Anti-Corruption

    Suppliers shall not engage in any form of bribery, corruption, or unethical practices, in compliance with Indian laws and the Prevention of Corruption Act.

    5.2. Conflict of Interest

    Suppliers shall avoid any conflicts of interest that may compromise their ability to provide unbiased and objective services to Desher Publishing Services.

    5.3. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

    Suppliers shall respect the confidentiality of information shared by Desher Publishing Services and protect intellectual property rights.

  • Compliance and Monitoring
  • Desher Publishing Services reserves the right to monitor suppliers' compliance with this Supplier Code of Conduct. Suppliers shall cooperate with audits and assessments conducted by Desher Publishing Services to ensure adherence to these standards. Failure to comply may result in consequences, including termination of the supplier relationship.
